Summer classical music concert at Gut Hochreute near the Alpsee is a true delight for the ears
BY BETTINA BUHL
Immenstadt The sopranos radiate in competition with the sun, the baritone beams in his charming way and the string quartet shines with the flutist. Briefly, the summer concert in the arcades at Gut Hochreute near Immenstadt is a true delight for the ears of experienced classical music friends.
With technical brilliance
The Rossini string quartet opened the matinee with expression and technical brilliance. Imaginings of nature and emotions are impressively provoked. The lark, in form of Reto Kuppel‘s violin in Joseph Haydns „Lerchenquartett“, greets the new day with the highest notes; Manfred Maier‘s flute brings a smile to the lips with a dancing allegro and the wailing vibratos in Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy‘s Opus 12 in Es-Dur literally allow one to feel the heartache and longing of the romantic composer.
But Eugenia Ramirez and Ulrike Heise also excite as solos and as a duet. Heise acts the Don Giovanni with a smug wink and seduces with his charm but especially with his sonorous baritone. Eugenia Ramirez‘ canto is unadorned and free of fuss. She does not need any great staging, she captivates with her natural stile and clear soprano voice.
An impressive highlight is the performance of Sibylle Wolf. Her clear mezzosoprano fills the arcades and actually creates a firework of emotions. Whether she sings about the desperate thoughts of the walker or the loneliness of the nights in Grenada, her voice is pervading and comes directly from the soul. Thus, not only the sun but also the joyfully ecstatic eyes of the listeners shine brightly.
