Country weekends at the EC take off

A new idea was developed with the EC key people (country contact persons) last spring. So called “country weekends”, which take off in November 2009.

The idea is that your country or region organizes the whole weekend at the EC. You organize the program however you wish, (you may want to invite your own international traveling teachers, or plan outside activities e.g. skiing, climbing etc.). You organize the shopping, budgeting, cooking, cleaning and so on, simply put – run the whole weekend from beginning to end, with support from the EC crew. The weekends are announced in the official EC program and the world is invited to come and experience your own inspiring way of doing things and the wonder of the EC at the same time.

So far the following country weekends are planned:
•    13-15 November 2009 – Czech weekend – program and registration
•    19-21 February 2010 – Slovak weekend
•    12-14 March 2010 – Italian weekend
•    23-25 April 2010 – Swiss weekend
•    03-09 May 2010 – Russian week

With these and other EC events our diary is full until Summer 2010, but you are very welcome to plan your weekend from Autumn 2010 onwards.

Regions

As some countries have many, many centers (e.g. Germany, Poland etc.) and therefore work as regions, so it would also be great to hear from not only countries but regions too; and of course you are welcome to stay longer than just a weekend, like our Russian friends!

Essentially, we would like to invite the world to come to the EC, spend sometime here, get to know the place, how it functions and feel like you are at home.
