Meditation (book) retreat
Dec 13 to Dec 16 (all day)
We are happy to announce a new concept for Lama Ole’s book retreats and project days at the Europe Center.
We invite you to join us for structured meditation days, guided by traveling teachers in the villa gompa—directly below where our Lama works. This particular retreat will end with a 12hr meditation on the 16th Karmapa, followed by an evening lecture.
From next Tuesday Dec 13 on, we will start with our new concept of meditation retreats which while Lame Ole is here. We invite you to join us in the gompa (with the Lama literally above our heads :) ) for a structured meditation day guided by different traveling teachers. Frank Huhn will be guiding this meditation retreat.
The daily plan is:
- 09:00 16th Karmapa meditation
- 09:40 Breakfast
- 10:30 20-30 minutes mini-jobs in the house for everyone
- 11:00 Meditation session (personal practice)
- 13:00 Lunch & cleaning up afterwards
- 15:00 Meditation session (personal practice, followed by Q&A when needed)
- 19:00 Dinner & cleaning up afterwards
- 20:00 16th Karmapa meditation + a different program every day after meditation:
- Tuesday: signing the EC New Years cards to the world together and enjoying some cookies, glogg (Glühwein) and candlelight
- Wednesday: short EC center meeting, followed by transmission stories in the lounge
- Thursday: Q&A with Traveling Teachers
- Friday: moreEC movie night with Lama Ole, approx. starting at 21:30
And of course as always, the program is subject to spontaneous change and surprises…
