Great news! Today the city of Immenstadt won the court case against the zoning for the master plan of our new building project. From now on there should be no more hindrances in completing the EC, and we will start building in the spring of 2013. The necessary permissions will be handed to us within the next few days.

We recently got to know that in early August 2011, 10 citizens of Immenstadt—members of the local Bund Naturschutz (nature protection)—filed a “Popular Action” against the City of Immenstadt and the District Administration of Oberallgäu. This court proceeding might have an impact on us and our construction process. We were warmly welcomed by the community members of Immenstadt, and since 2007 we have experienced a lot of openness and support, especially during the Summer Courses, therefore, we are surprised by this action.

Dear friends and supporters,
Even before we had it, the Europe Center idea symbolized the rising international spirit of Diamond Way Buddhism. In 2007, this decade-old wish materialized with Gut Hochreute in the foothills of the German Alps. Building on what was already present, we began with the first International Summer Course and then made the most out of the 4 following years. Thanks to that, thousands have already caught the "international EC virus" and our over 600 centers worldwide are today interconnected like never before.

This August at the International Summer Course, the moreEC fundraising campaign will kick-off. Its aim is to gain support and donations for the Europe Center extension project that includes a construction of a new big gompa, a new building for residents, guests and seminars, working area and more.
The moreEC campaign team works on many different materials to present the project and explain its vision and significance for the whole Diamond Way Buddhism worldwide. We are just naturally heading towards a next step in the EC project that started as an idea 13 years ago. ...
