24-hour meditation on the 16th Karmapa About the 24-hour meditations at the EC Apart from the daily morning and evening common sessions of the 16th Karmapa meditation and the designed hours for preliminary practices (tib. ngondro), we try to organize every year also several 24-hour meditations on various Buddha aspects such as the 16th Karmapa, Loving Eyes etc. It usually ends on Saturday evening with a lecture by a traveling teacher. ITAS weekend workshop

ITAS, the International Institute for Tibetan and Asian Studies, is a centre of excellence for in-depth research into such themes as Buddhist philosophy, literature, poetry, history and medicine. Ngöndro weekend with Traveling Teachers

There are many different distractions from our ngöndro practice, But in the beautiful high country of the Europe Centre, on the top of our hill, there is no escape from your enlightened nature! On this weekend different traveling teachers from the area will explain the teachings underlying the Foundational Practices (Tib. ngöndro) such as the meaning of refuge, Bodhisattva attitude, cause and effect, the two accumulations, six paramitas, and the teacher-student relationship. Rebuilding the British empire, one English breakfast at a time. Increasingly known for their culinary and presentation skills, the English sangha (we may even let some of those Welsh and Scottish people join in) will run a big, bright, British weekend in the EC. 6th Transmission weekend – Lopon Tsechu Rinpoche

This transmission weekend will take us back to the years when Lopon Tsechu Rinpoche was giving teachings, initiations and building stupas in almost every corner of the world. Very close friends and traveling teachers will come together and tell us stories to help us understand how great Rinpoche was, and why he is still in our hearts.
