*The idea of a country weekend is that your country or region organizes the whole weekend at the EC and invites the rest of the world to come and experience your unique style at the EC. You organize the program however you wish, (you may want to invite your own international traveling teachers, or plan outside activities e.g. skiing, climbing etc.). You organize the shopping, budgeting, cooking, cleaning and so on, simply put – run the whole weekend from beginning to end, with support from the EC crew.

Arriving by car
Due to the weather and number of people registered, we ask that you park at the Froschweiher car park (the last car park before the EC, by the lake) and we will provide a shuttle service from there. We do not advise anyone to drive up the EC road at the moment, but in case you decide to here’s some advice from our experience: you must have good winter tires. Unless you come with a four wheel drive car we also strongly recommend that you have snow chains, especially if your car has a rear wheel drive. Be prepared to drive up (and down) a steep and curvy mountain road covered with snow and ice. But again we ask that you do not drive up.

At peak times the shuttle will be going up and down to the car park so you won’t have to wait long for a ride up, otherwise, please call+49 176 37183410

Arriving by train
If you are arriving by train and need to be picked up from the station, please call or text +49 176 37183410 from the train to confirm your
arrival time. Please call us even if you wrote your arrival time on the registration form.

Dear friends,

we are very happy to announce the 4th Transmission weekend, with the topic of the 16th Karmapa. Friends who met the 16th Karmapa will share their memories from those times, and we will be transported back to the early days with movies and pictures. Part of the program will be longer sessions of meditation on the 16th Karmapa.

As it will be deep winter here at this time, the snow and freezing conditions put some limitations on the EC. We will do our best to accommodate everyone here, but depending on the number registered there will probably come a point where we have to ask people to stay with the local sangha or in a hotel downtown. Therefore we ask everyone to bring their warm sleeping bags and mats, and be aware that the conditions may be tough for some ;0)

If you plan to come, please register asap using the link bellow. Further information about accommodation changes, shuttling etc. will be emailed to those registered just before the event.
