Dawa, Urken Lama from Nepal, is a master of the Karma Gadri style of Tibetan painting living with his wife and daughters in Rumtek, Sikkim (India). he new the 16th Karmapa and is a close student of the 17th Karmapa Thaye Dorje.
On Friday evening at 20:00, Dawa will give a lecture on the iconography of the Karma Kagyu style – the so called Karma Gadri, at the Europe Center. The lecture is for everyone, not only those who are attending the painting course that follows.

The third classical music concert will take place under the arcades at Gut Hochreute (or inside if it rains) on July 4th at 11:00 a.m.

Classical music with vocals, string quartet and piano
It will conclude the currently shown statue exhibition (last guided tours from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m.). As last year, some top-class artists are again expected to give virtuoso performances of vocal, string music and piano in this wonderful atmosphere. The entrance fee for the concert is 10 EUR.
Enjoy some drinks and snacks in the wonderful atmosphere of the courtyard ...

Well almost! Memmingem with its Allgäu-airport is only 70km from the EC and is thus the closest airport to the Europe Center. For such a small airport it's getting very active with flights from low-cost airlines like RyanAir, TUIfly, Wizz air, Air Berlin etc. Recently, a bunch of new destinations were recently added, so the next time you plan a trip to the EC, just check out the flight schedule.

It is now official, our new Bau Café (built with our own wood!), will be inaugurated this Saturday night after meditation.
And we have special guests for that - the Hamburgers are coming to pass on their transmission from the times of their famous Hamburg Bau Café, bringing 2 DJs and a great sound system so don't forget your dancing shoes!

Tibetan Buddhist statuary is the embodiment of a profound symbolism that goes far beyond purely artistic expression. The statues displayed are used as support and inspiration for Buddhist meditation practice - with the goal of developing for the benefit of all.
The exhibition will start on the 3rd of May 2009 from 15:00 until 18:00 and will continue each Sunday between 15:00 - 17:00, until the 26th of July.
Entrance fee 5€.
Dates and prices for groups and school classes are available by appointment.
