Kulturprogramm auf Gut Hochreute
Eingeleitet von dem öffentlichen Einführungsvortrag „Buddhismus heute“ am 17. April um 20 Uhr in der Hofgarten-Stadthalle in Immenstadt, beginnt das kulturelle Angebot in diesem Jahr mit der Eröffnung der Statuenausstellung in den historischen Räumen des Jugendstilbaus auf Gut Hochreute am Sonntag den 3. Mai um 15 Uhr. Die Ausstellung ist danach an jedem Sonntag von 15 Uhr bis 17 Uhr geöffnet. Sie findet ihren Abschluss mit einer klassischen Matinee am 26. Juli um 11 Uhr.
Am 17. April erklärt Lama Ole Nydahl, westlicher Lehrer des Diamantweg-Buddhismus in der Hofgarten-Stadthalle die praktische Umsetzung der zeitlosen Weisheit des Buddha in unserer modernen Welt. Der Diamantweg-Buddhismus stellt heute den am meisten verbreiteten Weg außerhalb der traditionell buddhistischen Länder dar. Sein Schwerpunkt liegt auf der Meditation und der Weitergabe des Wissens vom Lehrer zum Schüler. Darüber hinaus stellt er die Selbstverantwortung des Menschen in den Vordergrund. Der Eintritt beträgt 10 €.
Zur Eröffnung der Ausstellung buddhistischer Statuen am 3. Mai werden von 15 bis 18 Uhr laufend Führungen angeboten. Im tibetischen Buddhismus sind Statuen Träger einer tiefen Symbolik, die über den künstlerischen Aspekt weit hinausgeht. Die auf Gut Hochreute gezeigten Statuen dienen als Inspiration für die Meditationspraxis, deren Ziel es ist, sich zum Besten aller Wesen zu entwickeln. Die Darstellungen der Buddhas wirken wie ein Schlüssel, der tiefe Ebenen im Unterbewusstsein der Betrachter öffnet.
An den folgenden Sonntagen werden von 15 Uhr bis 17 Uhr Führungen angeboten. Eintritt 5 € (Termine und Preise für Gruppen und Schulklassen nach Absprache (Tel.: 01577-5769014, exhibition@europe-center.org).
Zum Abschluss der Statuenausstellung findet am 26. Juli die zweite Sommermatinee unter den Arkaden auf Gut Hochreute statt (bei Regen in den Innenräumen). Da die sehr gute Akustik im Innenhof sich für klassische Konzerte geradezu anbietet, soll dieser auch in Zukunft für kulturelle Veranstaltungen genutzt werden. So kann das regionale Angebot ergänzt und die Schönheit des Ortes mit den Menschen in der Umgebung geteilt werden. Wie schon im letzten Jahr, werden auch diesmal wieder hochkarätige Künstler erwartet, die Gesang, Klavier und Streichinstrumente in diesem wunderschönen Ambiente zum Klingen bringen.
Besucher der Eröffnungsveranstaltung für die Statuenausstellung und der Sommermatinee können ihr Auto auf dem öffentlichen Parkplatz Froschweiher parken. Von dort aus gibt es einen kostenlosen Shuttle-Service zum Veranstaltungsort und zurück.
Das Europazentrum auf Gut Hochreute liegt hoch über dem Großen Alpsee an einem Berghang bei Bühl; ein Seminar- und Veranstaltungszentrum, in dem sich Menschen aus aller Welt begegnen, ihr Wissen über den Buddhismus vertiefen und gemeinsam meditieren. Interessierte können hier die zeitlosen Mittel Buddhas kennen lernen.
Außerdem soll die inspirierende Schönheit des Ortes auch den Menschen in der Umgebung zugänglich sein. Die historischen Räume stehen für standesamtliche Trauungen zur Verfügung. Darüber hinaus ist das Gelände von Wanderwegen durchzogen, die ganzjährig begehbar sind.
Die Jugendstil-Gebäude wurden 1911 erbaut und fanden weite Beachtung in zeitgenössischen Architektur- und Kunstzeitschriften. Die Innenausstattung wurde eigens für das Haus gestaltet und ist bis heute weitgehend erhalten. Die Gestaltung des damals modernsten Wohngebäudes im Immenstädter Raum entsprang der romantischen Idee Kultur und Natur miteinander zu verbinden.
Das Gelände befindet sich innerhalb des Landschaftsschutzgebietes „Großer Alpsee”, das durch den kleinräumlichen Wechsel von Wiesen und Waldflächen auf den Hängen zum See geprägt ist und einige kleinere Biotope beinhaltet, die besonders beschützt werden. Unter anderem wird der Bergmischwald gesichert und langfristig auf den bestehenden Wald ausgedehnt.
Regelmäßiges Angebot: Einführende Erklärungen zu Buddhismus und Europazentrum: Donnerstags 19:30 mit anschließender angeleiteter Meditation um 20:00, Dauer ca. 30 Minuten (in englischer Sprache, da das Publikum international ist).

Cultural program at Gut Hochreute
Introduced by the public lecture “Buddhism Today” on Friday 17 April at 8:00 p.m. in the Hofgarten-Stadthalle in Immenstadt, this year’s cultural program will start with the opening of a statue exhibition in the historic rooms of the art nouveau building at Gut Hochreute on Sunday 3 May at 3:00 p.m. The exhibition will then be open on Sundays between 3:00 and 5:00 p.m. and is to be concluded by a classical concert on Sunday 26 July at 11:00 a.m.
Lama Ole Nydahl, a Western teacher of Diamond Way Buddhism, will explain the practical application of Buddha’s timeless wisdom in our modern world, in the Hofgarten-Stadthalle on 17 April. Diamond Way Buddhism represents the most widespread approach to practising Buddhism outside the traditionally buddhist countries today. It focuses on meditation and transmission of knowledge from teacher to student, and especially emphasises personal responsibility. The entrance fee for the lecture will be 10 €.
On the day of the buddhist statue exhibition opening on 3 May, there will be guided tours between 3:00 and 6:00 p.m. Tibetan buddhist statues embody a profound symbolism that goes far beyond purely artistic expression. The statues shown at Gut Hochreute serve as inspiration for meditation practice—done in order to develop for the benefit of all beings. The representations of buddha aspects function as a key that opens deep layers in the beholder’s subconscious. Guided tours will be offered on the following Sundays between 3:00 and 5:00 p.m. The entrance fee to the exhibition is 5 €. The second classical music concert will take place under the arcades at Gut Hochreute (or inside if it rains) on 26 July to conclude the statue exhibition. Due to its excellent acoustics, the courtyard lends itself to being used for outdoor concerts. Cultural programs are thus complemented by the beauty of the place, and both can be shared with the people who live in the surrounding area. As we had last year, some top-class artists are again expected to give virtuoso performances of piano, vocal, and string music in this wonderful atmosphere.
Visitors to the opening of the statue exhibition and the classical concert can leave their cars at the public car park “Froschweiher”. From here a shuttle service to the venue and back has been organised free of charge.
The Europe Center at Gut Hochreute lies high above the lake “Großer Alpsee” on a hillside near Bühl. It is a seminar and event venue where people from all over the world meet, deepen their knowledge about Buddhism and meditate together. Interested people can become acquainted with the timeless methods of the Buddha. In addition, the inspiring beauty of the place is open to the people from the surrounding area. The historic rooms are available for official marriage ceremonies. The area is also covered by a network of walking trails, which can be used all year round.
The art nouveau buildings were built in 1911 and attracted the keen attention of contemporary architecture and art magazines. The interior of the house was specially designed and has been largely preserved until the present day. The design of this most modern residential building of its time in the area of Immenstadt arose from the Romantic idea of combining culture and nature.
The premises are situated within the protected landscape “Großer Alpsee”, which is characterized by the alternating meadows and forest areas on the hillside facing the lake, and includes some specially protected environmental areas. Amongst others, the mixed mountain forest is protected and will be spread to the existing forest.
Introductory explanations about Buddhism and the Europe Center are offered on Thursdays at 7:30 p.m. followed at 8:00 p.m. by a thirty-minute guided meditation (which is read in English, because the residents are international).
