Meetings and international workshops in the morning and initiation on Limitless Light by 17. Gyalwa Karmapa in the afternoon. After the program most of the people left the EC for their homes, but still around 1500 friends stayed for the next day of Bodhisattva vows.

The rain, cold, sun, cold, rain. The busses coming up the hill to our own land. Buddhists in the Gompa tent reciting the mantra. Loving Eyes thangka hanging on the stage. Lamas preparing the iniciation on the stage. Those were the early morning impressions from our Europe Center. Few minutes later 17. Gyalwa Karmapa gave the very first iniciation on Loving Eyes for thousands of people.

Welcoming ceremony to 17. Gyalwa Karmapa: offering roses 55 representatives from 55 countries all over the world officially welcomed Karmapa in the Gompa tent. Everybody with words “welcome home” in their language. Lama Ole talked about our blessing coming from 16. Karmapa and about our wishes and connection to Thaye Dorje. After official ceremony we guided Karmapa all around our place showing him the progress and development. The next day came amazing teachings on the Essence of Buddhism.

It was a special day in the EC today: the last day of 72hr meditation with Sherab Gyaltsen Rinpoche with a nummber of 128.626.108 counted mantras, the first day of the 17th Gyalwa Karmapa Thaye Dorje in the EC. All of us gethered in from of the gate waiting for the car coming up the hill. The highest teacher of the Karma Kagyu Lineage came at 7 o´clock in the eveneing welcomed by Sherab Rinpoche, Lama Ole, Caty and many other friends. Lamas and monks with Khatak, children with roses, girls nicely dressed…

Sherab Gyaltsen Rinpoche has arrived in the late Sunday afternoon to the EC. He will be present for most of the 72 hours meditation on the Buddha of Compassion or Loving Eyes. The mediation has started at midnight with an introduction from Lama Ole. Sherab Gyaltsen Rinpoche as is a master of this practice meditates with everybody, who is present on the course and also with friends worldwide, via streaming. Four days of concentration, focus, intense meditation. Four days of Phowa practice to reach the signs. And four days of mostly grey skies and rain.
Then, the breakthrough: A morning with a blazing sun, that continued to shine all day, beautiful colors and happy faces.
The Phowa headcheck, half a day earlier than initially planned, revealed the fruit of meditation already today. It opened the course program for an additional Bodhisattva Promise tomorrow morning.
