Čistý pohled :-)

Jen další z těch úžasně krásných východů slunce v Allgäu… zde je pohled z gompy z dnešního rána směrem na Bühl a Immenstatd. Chceme se s vámi podělit!

Pondělí vrátilo sníh zpátky do Immenstadtu – a my objevili spousty cest, které musíme dát dohromady. Energické koulovačky, romantické procházky ve slunné Zimní krajině divů, útulné večery v našem novém obývacím pokoji a překrásné výhledy na zasněžené vrcholky stromů z naší gompy (samozřejmě pokoušíme se nebýt tím během meditace rušeni! ;-))

Takže si prosím užijte pár časných zimních obrázků z vily a okolí EC!

That’s what friends are for…

It’s few days before the 3rd Transmission Weekend and the EC is filling up already. For example, Gala, Slava, Andrey and Edik from the Ukrainian sangha are here for a whole week. They plan to pass on what they learn during the Transmission Weekend to their friends at home.

As well as building the Ukrainian retreat center in Minkovka and other ongoing projects, the whole sangha there is sponsoring these fours’ journey. Since it would be too expensive for most of them to come here, the sangha decided to pay half the travel expenses, so that at least four of them could come and get transmission and help build up the Europe Center.

We would like to thank the Ukrainian sangha for their generousity and efforts in supporting the Europe Center and send them best wishes for the building of their new retreat place and gompa!

Czechs are attacking the EC!

This was it: the very first country weekend in the EC! Friends from the Czech Republic came to spend two days in the autumnal Europe Center to use and run the place in a way that every country decides for itself.

When the idea of the country weekend appeared a few months ago, we already had a good feeling about it because it is a great opportunity to spend some time here. The country weekend is based on the chance that everybody can arrange the programm, time, food etc. here. So the Czechs came with a bus of friends to prepare famous traditional dumplings for everybody, to make two meditation sessions a day, to listen to lectures of travelling teachers, to throw a party and to take care of the kitchen and all the things in the house. So everyone got a taste of life here and enjoyed the villa, the gompa and the nature around.

The country weekends are no closed events, everybody is welcome to be here and to get a feeling of the style how different countries do the things. After this first one, many more are coming up: Slovak weekend, Italian weekend, Swiss weekend, Russian week etc.. You can just check our EC calendar.

As we all know the very good tool on the way to enlightenment is to leave the own village and travel to different countries and break a lot of concepts. And if you cannot travel everywhere – just come to the EC, the whole world comes by here anyway!

A busy weekend in the EC

The lonely autumn has turned out to very busy weekend filled with interesting people: Hamburg sangha came from the North to give us a tranmission from the times of their famous Hamburg Bau Café, the core team of the Summer course met to give each other feed-back from this years summer course, a group of Czechs explored the forests for wood work and friends from Munich came with the Schwarzenberg sangha for the first official inauguration night in our amazing caffeteria. Imagine two DJs, great dancing music, the best caipirinha and the smell of fresh wooden Bau Cafe facing the lake view.

Statue filling not just in the EC

The big project called international preparation for filling the EC statues was assigned to us by the 17^th Gyalwa Karmapa himself, during his last visit to the EC in summer 2008. Seeing so many beautiful, small and large Buddha statues, he expressed the wish that all of them would be filled before the international summer course in 2009. He told us: „Filling these precious statues will be like filling a stupa.“

Statue fillers actually started the preparation for this joyful event in the autumn of 2007 as soon as we got the EC property in Immenstadt. They rolled the mantras in Schwarzenberg once a month during 2008 and, of course, during the summer course at the EC.

After the first meeting of the international statue fillers on the last weekend of January 2009, this activity was spread to all friends worldwide, who have the special knowlege for rolling mantras. Our friends from Germany, Slovenia, Netherlands, USA, Poland, Ukraine, Russia, Slovakia, Lithuania, Ireland, Hungary and Italy got the assignment of rolling various mantras. You can have a look at the pictures from different countries and places. Many friends took part by collecting precious things for filling and friends from Venezuela also felled a special tree on their property and donated this wood for the life-trees.

As Caty said: “The filling of the statues at the EC, the heart center of Diamond Way centers around the globe, will be accomplished by involving and drawing on the power and activity of every country”.

We are very touched by this inspiring activity and are happy about the special course in May, which will be the very first international statue filling course with international statue fillers (11. to 24. May)! We are happy to transmit our knowlege of this subject, have fun and enjoy your friendship!

Lama in the book retreat

On the travel plan of Lama Ole you might find the word „retreat“ since the middle of March. This project time is reserved for the book retreat and our Lama and his team are using these days to work intensively on a brand new book. Everybody is very focused and concentrated and we are all looking forward to the fresh „birth“ of the Death and rebirth book. During this book retreat all friends coming to the EC are invited to use this precious chance together with the residents to meditate in our Lama’s powerfield.

Spring came to the EC

Relaxing time, sun, shorts, T-shirts, out of the blue spring arrived. The snow is melting in front of our eyes, flowers shoot up and we are happily eating outside again. Our construction workers immediately started to prepare for the next building season and everybody is enjoying meditating in the Lama’s power field. Love is in the air, ta da di da.
