Manfred Seegers became Buddhist in 1982 when taking refuge with Lama Ole Nydahl. He is an authorized Buddhist teacher after having completed a five-year study program under Khenpo Lama Thubten in Germany.
From 1990 until 2000 he has studied and taught at the ”Karmapa International Buddhist Institute” in New Delhi, India, where he holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Buddhist Philosophy. In 2009 he was awarded a Master of Philosophy degree in Religious Studies by the University of Kent, UK, and is currently a doctoral candidate in Tibetology at the University of Hamburg, Germany. As a Diamond Way teacher he holds lectures and seminaries in many different countries.
He is the author of many articles on Buddhist topics, as well as the books “Buddhist Terms”, translated into 10 languages, “Knowledge on Meditation,” “Aspects of Timeless Wisdom,” and co-author of the exhibition catalogue “Space and Bliss: Buddhist statues and Ritual implements.”
