International Europe Center Summer Course

Apart from Lama Ole Nydahl, every year other highly realized teachers from East and West are invited to the International Summer Course at the Europe Center, and they pass on their deep understanding of Buddha’s teachings. Just spending some time and meditating in their blessing field is greatly beneficial.

You can bring your tent and spend the night on the terraced meadows around the big event tents. There are hot showers, washrooms, toilets, and, of course, meals, which everyone is more than welcome to help prepare!

There is space for campervans and caravans on the campsite by the lake “Großer Alpsee”. In Immenstadt and the surrounding areas (Blaichhach, Sonthofen, Ratholz, Akams, Oberstaufen, Konstanzer, Rettenberg, Thalkirchdorf, etc.) there are holiday homes, guesthouses and hotels. It is imperative that you book ahead – there’s a search database at www.immenstadt.de

The Europe Center cannot give any rooms to general guests during the Summer Course. The premises are reserved for volunteers who are in charge, friends with disabilities, and guests who are carrying out the program.

Weekend Course with Gaby Volenko

We are very happy to invite you for a weekend of lectures with veteran Diamond Way teacher Gaby Volenko!
Gabriele Wohlfahrtstätter-Volenko was born 1954 in Düsseldorf, Germany. In 1972 she moved to Wuppertal to study music at the conservatory and then worked as a music teacher for children as well as an educator for students of music.

In 1979, on a trip to Copenhagen, she visited the Buddhist center of the Karma Kagyu lineage, met with Tenga Rinpoche and Hannah Nydahl and took refuge. One year later she became Lama Ole and Hannah’s student, and since then has been helping them in their work as much as she can in every way.

In 1979 together with friends, she started the Diamond Way Buddhist Center in Wuppertal, where she lived and worked for 25 years. Between 1990 and 1995 Lama Ole Nydahl sent her to help build up the Diamond Way Buddhist centers in Russia and Ukraine. Today, besides teaching Dharma in Diamond Way centers worldwide Gabi is running her “Institute for Deep Relaxation” in Wuppertal.
