Yes, we do keep with tradition and Western culture even as Buddhists, and so of course we also had a beautiful Christmas tree and a nice celebration on Xmas eve!

The sanghas surrounding (and supporting!) the Europe Center came for their annual practice course full of meditation and friendly exchange. Of course everybody else was welcome to join as well.

Despite the rainy autumn weather, more than 300 Allgäuers took the chance of checking out the Europe Center, formerly known as Hochreute Manor.

From Classical music to classic Jazz: our annual Matinée returned in new form after we took a break for a year.

We let the pictures do the talking if everybody had an amazing weekend or not…

Since Lama Ole had been gone so long, many hundreds of people registered for the Transmission Weekend, and we did our best to prepare things in a way that everybody would have a great time despite the “masses”…

Only a few days after we purchased the Europe Center, Hannah Nydahl, often referred to as the mother of Buddhism in the West, passed away on April 1, 2007.

Time to celebrate! Lama Ole joined us via Skype and we browsed through 10 years of Europe Center history for a whole weekend…

Back in March 2007, the contract of purchase for Gut Hochreute aka. the Europe Center was signed and sealed!

As every year, the Diamond Way teachers from all over the world came to the Europe Center for a long weekend of exchange.
