Cowdown 2018

The event of „Viehscheid“, or as we call it „cowdown“ (there is no official translation), is one of the most important in the calender of Allgäu.

In september the cows are brought down from the summer meadows in the mountains to their wintering grounds in the valley. Many, many people attend this happining along the roads with the final at „P3“, where the herds are divided and people meet in the beer tent. It is always also a happening for sangha friends, which identify a lot with the Allgäu, which is also visible from their clothing.
