Public Lecture by Lama Ole Nydahl
As the opener for this year’s Summer Course and actually for the only time for the rest of this year, Lama Ole Nydahl gave a public lecture.
Many locals and tourists from the region came to listen to Lama Ole’s introductory explanations of Diamond Way Buddhism and how to apply it in one’s everyday life in the busy West. After the lecture with an audience of 1500 people, Lama Ole took a lot of time to answer questions.
Towards the end of the evening many inspired listeners came for blessing and took Buddhist Refuge with Lama Ole. Basically refuge is about the values that direct our lives – but at the end they are not reliable because they are not lasting. Whatever we perceive, everything changes all the time. Buddhist refuge focuses on timeless values – our own mind with all its inherent qualities.
