Summer Course 2017: Day 6

Maniwa Sherab Gyaltsen Rinpoche today gave us the great gift of an empowerment into his own main meditation aspect: Loving Eyes (Skt. Avalokiteshvara, Tib. Chenrezig), the Compassion of all Buddhas.

As you might know, Rinpoche is a Maniwa, a highly respected lama of the Kagyu lineage. “Maniwa’ is a title given to masters of the Chenrezig practice who have accomplished at least a billion Om Mani Peme Hung mantras. Whereever Rinpoche goes, his mantra wheel is with him to bless his surroundings. Rinpoche passed on the initation into Loving Eyes, which he got in a direct transmission from H.H. the 16th Karmapa Rangjung Rigpe Dorje.
