It all started out innocently. The EC sangha invited Artur Przybysławski and Rafał Olech for a weekend to give teachings and share their experience.

Well, lets say this year the winter is a little bit lazy.

A wish appeared and it is slowly coming true.

As every year, we came together to celebrate New Year’s Eve at the Europe Center.

There is a lot to organise for an event like Christmas at the EC.

What a cosy weekend at the EC! Sometimes it seems like it might be peaceful and quiet at the Europe Center, but when you look closely you will always find that there is something happening!

The beginning of December was rich with events at our beautiful Europe Center.

We all came together to celebrate our beautiful art nouveau style villa in the Europe Center.

What can you expect when Jan Noutsos, a long student of Lama Ole and traveling teacher, comes to EC to help once again to understand that compassion and wisdom are two sides of one medal.

On Lama Ole’s invitation, Jigme Rinpoche visited the Europe Center from 25th till 29th of October.

Events

Please check www.summercourse.ec for the program, registration and all necessary info a few months prior to the event!

We’re delighted to invite you to an 8th Karmapa Meditation Course, with Lena Leonteva and Marcin Baranski. This course is open for those who have finished the Four Foundational Practices. The 8th Karmapa Meditation is the advanced guru yoga practice of the Diamond Way Karma Kagyu Lineage.

During this extended weekend, we have the great opportunity to do the 8th Karmapa meditation together in four sessions every day. By practicing together, we share our experience and inspiration, and strengthen our connections as a sangha. There will also be ample time for explanations and questions & answers.

If you have not yet finished the Foundational Practices, you are very welcome to meditate in our beautiful Villa Gompa. If you need explanations for your practice, you can get them from the Travelling Teachers on site.

Further information and full programme to follow. To register, please email join@europe-center.org

DATE CHANGE: 8-10 May (due to changes in Lama Ole’s travel plan)

We have launched an event series about Diamond Way history inspired by Lama Ole’s book Riding the Tiger. The Europe Center will host these weekend events annually for the upcoming years.

The next weekend is now scheduled for May 8–10, 2020. It will focus on the early days of Lama Ole and Hannah’s work, with various traveling teachers who took refuge in the late 70s and early 80s. We are still working out the details, but please save the date on your calendars!

These weekends are a chance to go deep into our Kagyu family history in the West, sparked and driven by the tireless work of Lama Ole and Hannah. If you are not able to join yourselves, you might encourage others from your sangha to come.

Updated program coming soon!

Please register below, we kindly ask that those coming with children, use the family registration. Thank you.

*** UPDATE: Cancellation of Lama Ole’s program at the EC ***

Dearest friends,

With a heavy heart, we have decided to cancel the two upcoming events at the Europe Center in March.

Surely you have followed the news the last days. The Covid-19 pandemic—which has already forced us to cancel courses in Vladivostok, Taipei and Glentui—is also starting to affect Europe more and more.

The decision has been made together with Lama Ole and his team to put the safety of Lama Ole, of our friends from around the world and of the local inhabitants of Immenstadt above all else.

If other events need to be canceled in the near future, it will be decided based on the current situation at the given time.

We are aware that many of you have already organized transportation and accommodation. We ask for your understanding and support, and hope you can cancel as much as possible. Please be aware that the course is not going to be held by Traveling Teachers either—the event is fully canceled.

We look forward to meeting soon when the sky is free again.
