According to the wish of Lopön Tsechu Rinpoche, we got together to celebrate the birthday of the seven Stupas that were inaugurated in Zürich in 2001.

Our historical first motorbike weekend was far beyond our expectations. It was amazing to share the colorful storytelling on Friday and Saturday. Seeing the arrival biker friends – 41 friends with their wide range of motorbike types with maaaany horsepower – and having the great Saturday´s evening barbecue definitely brought joyful atmosphere in the Europe Center.

More than 300 visitors took advantage of the sunny weather, to get in contact with us. They enjoyed our offers like introductory rounds in the meditation hall, followed by a short meditation, or guided tours through the villa, as well as an information table and of course food and beverages as well as a lot of chatting and connecting.

A wonderful time with Lama Ole was this year’s Transmission Weekend, which again attracted Buddhists from all over the world to listen to Buddha`s highest teachings given by Lama Ole.

During the first weekend of April, we had the honor to host a course with Michaela Fritzges about the four Foundational Practices and the five Buddha Wisdoms.

Sherab Gyaltsen Rinpoche inspected the Europe Center’s “Porter’s Lodge” this morning. The little house next to the old entrance gate is to become the home of a big prayer wheel.

It would be wonderful to be able to share all the precious teachings we are getting every single day at the moment from Sherab Gyaltsen Rinpoche and Lama Ole Nydahl…

Besides the precious teachings we are getting from the lamas, there is of course even so much more to the Summer Course than that. For example, Sherab Gyaltsen Rinpoche goes for a walk almost every day

Sherab Gyaltsen Rinpoche gave his first in a series of lectures this morning. Rinpoche taught about Shine (Skt. Shamatha) meditation and emphasized on the 5 major points for proper body position.

Lectures, lectures, lectures… and quite a storm! Lama Ole answered boxes of questions in the afternoon while everybody tried to find their own way of dealing with 40+ degrees in the gompa tent.
